Season 6 - Episode 22 - NBA Finals Season Finale

The Denver Nuggets look to close out the Miami Heat in Game 5 at Denver. We wrap up the final episode of Hoops R Us for season 6 as we crown a new NBA champion for the 2023 season. Trade rumors are already out of control  as superstars like Kyrie and Dame will potentially test the market and find new homes next season. 

Season 6 - Episode 21 - Game 2 Finals Wild Finish

We are watching game 2 of the NBA finals with live reaction of the entire game. Miami pulls off an insane win at Denver, something Lebron, AD, KD, and Booker could not do! Now they go back to Miami with the series tied at one a piece. Joker is still going wild, the Miami role players are stepping up, and we have some of the most exciting final possessions of the playoffs as we see Murray go up against Jimmy for the game winner.

Season 6 - Episode 20 - The Lakers got Swept!

Break out the brooms! the Lakers have gone fishing in 4! Xander goes off on his Dad's Lakers for getting swept against the Joker. The Nuggets look like they are championship ready. Carmelo Anthony announces his retirement, while Lebron hints at ending his career as well. The Miami Heat look to put the Celtics away in 4 as well. The NBA script is in the garbage right now, nobody knows what will happen next.

Season 6 - Episode 19 - Xander Breaks his Toe, Lakers Send Warriors Fishing

The Conference Finals are set! Xander suffers twice as his Warriors are sent home by Dad's Lakers and X has his first career sports injury after breaking his toe this weekend! We watch the Lakers @ Denver game live as we simulcast the action while Dad gets the last laugh on Xander and his Warriors. 

Season 6 - Episode 18 - Xander Still Confident as Warriors are Facing Elimination

We got Xander sweating after his Warriors have fallen to a 3-1 deficit. Lakers and Warriors face off in Game 5 with the Warriors fighting to stay alive. Knicks take on the heat at MSG trailing 3-1 in a must-win in front of that tough NYC crowd. And we cover the latest in the Celtics/ Sixers and the Suns/ Nuggets series.

Season 6 - Episode 17 - Lakers v. Warriors Game 1 Reaction ft. Blake

The Lakers at Warriors Conference semi-finals game 1 delivered record-breaking viewership with over 7.4 million average viewers. It was the most watched conference semi-finals game ever! And for good reason. Curry vs. Lebron... Warriors vs. Lakers... Legacy vs. Legacy.... most points ever vs greatest shooter ever.... It does not get any better than this. We share our reactions and recap the first games of the conference semis throughout the playoffs.

Season 6 - Episode 16 - Go New York, Go New York ft. Uncle Javi

The most loyal NY Knicks fan joins the show to talk Knicks basketball! After years of disappointment, the Knicks are exceeding expectations and taking New York City to a new level. This has been a playoff for the ages, the perfect movie for the NBA. an 8th seed takes down a one seed, The Greek Freak has a philosophy on failure in sports, the King has his sights set on a ring, the Warriors are looking to repeat, and there are plenty of teams with a legitimate shot at winning the title. The NBA script has delivered all the drama we can handle. 

Season 6 - Episode 15 - Superstar Injuries Suck!

The NBA playoffs are insane right now! but the NBA's worst nightmare is coming true as some of the biggest stars are falling to injuries in the postseason. All this talk about load management and everybody getting healthy for the playoffs is proving to be nonsense as we are missing some all-stars in these round 1 games.
We take you through each series and pick our round 1 winners.

Season 6 - Episode 14 - Play-in Tournament Kickoff

Finally, it's time for the PLAYOFFS! we launch this episode on the day the play-in tournament kicks off with the Heat going at it with the Hawks and the Lakers facing the Wolves. We also make our picks for this year's MVP race!

Season 6 - Episode 13 - Playoff Clinchers & Final Push

Playoffs are officially 2 weeks away, exactly 14 days from today! in this hour we take you through the latest standings and predictions. The East seems pretty locked up but the West is still a battle. Lakers are pulling up to the playoff party, while the Mavs are waiting outside the club? It's going to be a wild 2 weeks before the dust settles, we get into the playoff seeding and go through our finals picks. 

Season 6 - Episode 12 - The Wild Road to the Playoffs

This is the final stretch of the regular season. All the power teams are making their final push to position themselves for the playoffs. The Lakers are back in the mix, the Knicks are making some noise, Ja is getting some help, and we have about 6 teams that are legitimate contenders to win it all. We will break down the Western and Eastern Conference seeding and power ranking, and touch on my end-of-season results for my 4 youth basketball teams.

Just when you thought we couldn't get enough... things get very interesting in the crazy world of the NBA. Ja Morant finds himself in the middle of a criminal investigation. King James can be out multiple weeks?!?! What does this mean for the Lake Show? We have a sniper back on the court. And.... another scoring record already?

Season 6 - Episode 10 - All Star Game Fumble but 2nd Half is Fire

The NBA has to figure out this thing they call an all-star game. Luckily, a pro dunker from the G-League named Mac came out of nowhere and saved the entire weekend. All-star game aside, the final stretch of the season is going to be must-watch TV! With big trades and contract buyouts, the playoffs are shaping up to be one of the best we've ever seen, unless we have some major injuries. Hopefully not!

Season 6 - Episode 9 - Best Trade Deadline Ever!

The NBA is a script and they're not even hiding it anymore! Kyrie is in the Mavs, D-Lo is back in LA, and OMG... KD is in the Suns!!! This is insane. We have never seen a trade deadline go down like this. But wait.. there's more... The King aka LeDirector just broke the all-time NBA scoring record. What does this mean to Lebron's legacy and where do we rank him on that GOAT list? We unpack all the latest trades and get you up to speed on this Superbowl edition of Hoops RUs. 

Season 6 - Episode 8 - All-Star Starters & Reserves are Final

Reserves are final and oh boyyyyyy, we are missing some names that we expected on the roster. Fox, Ball, Butler, Harder???? What is going on? And we have a playground-style draft coming too? This is controversial and exciting at the same time let's go!

We get down to business and go through our all-star picks for the 2022-2023 NBA season. This year is loaded with talent and will probably have the most all-star SNUBS ever!

Season 6 - Episode 6 - NBA Bucket Season

We kick off the new year with a fun episode as the league has been going off! NBA stars are breaking scoring records left and right all over the league. We had Luka Magic drop 60 with an insane triple double, then Spida Mitchell topped that with a 71-piece nugget just a week later! Teams are getting comfortable which means trouble for those teams that are starting slow. 

Season 6 - Episode 5 - Let’s Talk Hoops Ft. Blake & Raza

My boys Blake and Raza join us on the show to talk basketball. They may look young, but they got all the NBA knowledge, old school and new school. These guys are basketball encyclopaedias. We talk about our favorite teams, players, and of course a little GOAT debating. Things get a little spicy.

Xander faces his toughest challenge yet as he goes through basketball tryouts for his middle school team while recovering from the flu. We take you on a step-by-step experience from drills to workouts to all the recovery methods we had to endure to get through this.

We are joined by one of the top AAU coaches in Westchester County and the founder of Faith & Grind Basketball, Mike Buffalo. Mike takes us through his journey running an AAU basketball program in the crazy world of travel basketball.

Kyrie is suspended and yet again he is not playing basketball for his team due to a non injury related situation. We go through the drama surrounding the Kardashians... sorry we meant the Nets.

Our host Xander is fighting the flu but he still pulled off an MJ flu game and got our 1st episode done. We're talking offseason moves, rankings, and some early season drama happening in Lakers Lala Land. And our first argument of the year... who's the top guard in the league? Luka or Curry?

The Warriors are the 2022 NBA Champions!!!

As Xander predicted... Warriors in 6!!! The Golden State Warriors are the 2022 NBA Champions as they destroyed the Celtics in game 6 of the NBA finals. We pick up the action live in the 2nd half and take you through every second of the 3rd and 4th quarters. Curry has a monster game and wins finals MVP! The rest of the Warriors also step up and do their job! Time to party as there is a dynasty in the Golden State. 

Warriors Find Another Hero for Game 5

Curry is ice cold from three land as he goes 0-9 from deep, but somehow the Warriors still pull off a huge win at home to take a commanding 3-2 lead as they head into Boston for a chance to win the title. We go through each quarter to see how they pulled this off and how Andrew Wiggins might have pulled off the best game of his life!

The Chef goes off and has a historic game 4 on the road as the Warriors take down the Celtics in a must-win game. Dreymond was in his feelings about the fans being mean to him while Kerr was hot in this game asking for technical fouls. But in the end, the greatest shooter of all time did not blink! Hear all about this incredible game 4 as we take you quarter by quarter with all the action.

The Warriors find themselves in a must-win situation as they look to defend their home court against the Celtics for game 2 of the NBA finals. Draymond is up to his old tricks as he toes the line with his antics, and the Celtics look to steal another one in Golden State!

2022 NBA Finals Game 1 - Warrior Fans are Sick After This One

A thriller of a game between the Warriors and the Celtics goes down to the 4th quarter. Steph Curry goes off for 21 in the first quarter, and Tatum is a no-show for this game... Sounds like an easy Warriors win right? Both teams battle it out as we take you through every quarter along with all the heavyweight punches landed between both teams! What a game!

The 2022 Finals are Set!

Warriors vs Celtics... Who ya got???? This is going to be an epic showdown between two of the best teams in the league. No injuries, toe to toe, two complete teams going at it. It does not get any better than this! We also hit on game 7 that sent the Heat home after a missed 3-pointer by Jimmy Buckets. And we chat about KD and Kyrie watching their two former teams from home just like us!

Where is the Magic Luka?

One series is pretty much over! The Mavs cannot find the magic at all as they trail the series 3-0. The Heat and Celtics can't figure out who is going to win this series. Both teams and landing big punches in that series. And we finally wrap our F&G AAU Spring season. Tune in!

The final four remain and any one of these teams can win it all when it's all said and done! Heat vs Celtics and Mavs vs Warriors. It is going to be epic! We recap the previous round and talk about the jaw-dropping choke job the Suns put together in a game 7. Was this CP3's final shot???

This is arguably the most competitive playoffs we've witnessed in recent history. 3 out of the 4 series are tied 2-2. We have the grim reaper of injuries hitting the NBA playoffs again! and The Joker might have won his second MVP!!!

Conference semi-finals are set and we have 8 teams that can go ALL the WAY! Probably the most competitive NBA playoffs in years as every team can actually make it! We will cover Round 1 and make predictions on our Round 2 winners and losers. 

Nets are Choking!!!

The Nets might go down as one of the most disappointing teams to ever get eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. The Warriors are looking like the 2015 championship Warriors. The NBA playoffs are completely reshaped as key injuries have occurred.
